An interesting take, per above. I, like many of the Red Hat staff, am an ex-Digital employee. I would love to get your objective take (and not as a CTO marketeer) on two subjects....maybe we do this through the Nick Carr formal process, is you'd prefer that avenue...

1) "Linux Beyond x86" (e.g. Itanium2, IBM POWER, and System Z)Does RH care much about those alternative server platform targets much, or are you just going to concede it to SuSe?

2) The System P folks seem to be running more of their Linux on POWER performance benchmark characterizations with RHEL, in particular, more recently, per the newer POWER6 server offerings? Is this part of a larger and deeper alliance with the System P folks than RH had established previously? If so, what biz and tech alliances spokes are included here?
