Fedora 7 Now Available

Today marks an important day in Fedora history. We’ve released Fedora 7 — the most ambitious release that we’ve undertaken so far. We hope that when we look back one or two years down the road, the decisions that we made for this release will have proven to be as impactful as anything we’ve done in the Fedora space since the start of the Fedora Project. Red Hat Announces RHCEs of the Year

At the Red Hat Summit 2007, the achievements of Red Hat Certified Engineers (RHCEs) from around the world were honored for the second consecutive year. RHCE of the Year awards were granted to three individuals – one each from North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

An Open Source Architecture for Security Information

Identity interoperability across Windows and Linux is one area of focus highlighted by Microsoft and Novell in their November 2006 partnership announcements.

Even though there is little detail about what Microsoft and Novell will provide, this aspect of the announcement has generated interest. We will discuss the reasons for this interest, explain Microsoft and Novell’s approach as currently understood, discuss the limits of Active Directory and propose Red Hat’s broader vision for the interoperability of security information.
